Brikena Rochette
Brikena Rochette is a Founding Partner at RN Consulting. She is a licensed Barrister and Solicitor that is of good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. She is also a Notary Public in Ontario.
Brikena received a BA Honours Specialization in Criminology and Minor in Psychology from Western University. She graduated with the highest Grade Point Average in her discipline, winning the Criminology Award. Her academic excellence resulted in several other scholarships, which generously financed the total cost of her tuition.
Brikena received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. Brikena started by focusing on criminal law. However, she also extensively studied a diverse range of practice areas, including estates law, business transactions, and trademark law.
Prior to establishing RN Consulting, Brikena worked for senior counsel at a criminal defence law firm in downtown Toronto. As a summer student, she also worked for Legal Aid Ontario at the Old City Hall courthouse's Duty Counsel Office. There, she represented clients in both set date courts solo and advocated on behalf of clients who often dealt with mental health issues, poverty, racism and homelessness.
Brikena also served as a legal intern in India for The Concerned for Working Children, an organization that has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize on three separate occasions. There, she provided legal aid to migrant workers to ensure that their statutory employment rights were availed and raised awareness for working children's rights.
After becoming a licensed Lawyer in Ontario, Brikena shifted her focus from criminal law. She began practicing in business law to contribute to the success of newly established start-ups. Since launching RN Consulting, Brikena has advised several clients on company structure, contract interpretation and compliance, trademarks, and trademark infringement.
As a mother and business owner, Brikena understands the value of Will preparation and the requirement for legally valid testamentary documents. Covid-19 put the unpredictability of life to the test and inspired Brikena to assist her clients in protecting what they valued most. Brikena is E-State Planner certified and has helped a number of clients exercise their right to testamentary freedom.
Brikena's eclectic background allows her to tackle client issues from a unique perspective. She is a generalist who loves a challenge and will assist you in addressing both your personal and professional needs conveniently in one firm.

Brikena was selected to be the Case Manager at Western University's Cold Case Society (CCS). The CCS, which is partnered with the Murder Accountability Project (MAP), is tasked with analyzing unsolved crimes and other failed investigations utilizing the lens of new technology and emerging investigative methodologies. Brikena's team conducted research, which led to the discovery that Atlanta, Georgia was hiding some of the most prolific serial killers in US History. Their research was discussed by various news outlets, including 11Alive & The Gazette.
